    Description

    The Giving Back Fund, Inc. is currently seeking to a CFO

    You will be an integral member of our growing team and responsible for supporting the financial and operational responsibilities for our extensive portfolio of charitable clients.

    Primary objectives:

    • Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers and Board of Directors by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
    • Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
    • Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.
    • Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies with the Leadership Team.
    • Oversee bookkeeping and financial staff.

    As a CFO in our fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for:

    • Day-to-day responsibility for the Giving Back Fund's Accounting and Finance needs (accounts payable and receivables management, bookkeeping, and reconciliation) that is GAAP compliant.
    • Implementing updated processes and systems in consultation with senior staff, resulting in updated Operations Manuals and staff training.
    • Processing and reconciling payments from third-party payment and donation platforms, e.g. Stripe, PayPal, Give Lively, Give Butter, etc.
    • Maintaining internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
    • Establishing financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis.
    • Working with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
    • Implementing consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs.
    • Oversee both regulatory compliance and audit procedures, but also prepared for data entry in our books (debits & credits). Please note we do over 500 entries per month.
    • Developing and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
    • Overseeing and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity

    As the financial leader of the organization, you must have:

    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to communicate difficult information in an accessible manner
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to train team members and resolve problems/questions in a timely manner

    Qualifications:

    • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Finance/Accounting/Economics preferred.
    • 7 or more years of Finance background, preferably in a non-profit or philanthropy environment.
    • 5 years of general accounting experience
    • 5 years of experience working with payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
    • Experience with Sage Intacct and BILL software suites

    Professional certification: CPA (certified public accountant) required

    Tools: Sage Intacct, Bill.com required.
