Position Summary: The Senior Fellow, Industrial Electrification will play an important role in advancing C2ES' work to accelerate policies and technologies to support the manufacturing sector's transition to a net-zero economy. Reporting to the Director of Industrial Decarbonization, the Senior Fellow, Industrial Electrification will support research and policy to advance industrial electrification, including research on electricity pricing and grid infrastructure costs and barriers, outreach to utilities and state utility commissions on program and rate reforms needed to support implementation of technologies including industrial heat pumps and thermal batteries, and supporting state and federal policymaker education and advocacy efforts to leverage the voices and expertise of manufacturing companies and technology providers. This role centers on the industrial electrification workstreams of the Renewable Thermal Collaborative, a coalition co-led by C2ES that focuses on decarbonizing industrial heat, but may contribute to the development of other aspects of C2ES' industrial and clean energy programs. This position is for a two-year term, with the potential for a permanent posting contingent on future funding availability.

Salary: $97,000 - $122,000 annually, depending on background and experience. Excellent benefits.
Travel, Time & Location Requirements:?C2ES operates a hybrid work environment from our main office in Washington, DC. Local staff are expected to be in the office two to three days per week. If the applicant is hired remotely, physical presence in the main office is expected at least 5 days per quarter, plus limited additional travel as needed to support industrial electrification activities.
