    Description

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as the Capacity Development and Fundraising Coordinator. This role is essential to the growth and sustainability of our organization, focusing on strengthening our internal capacity while spearheading fundraising initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both capacity building and fundraising, with a strong commitment to expanding our impact and supporting our mission.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Capacity Building:

    • Design and implement strategies to enhance the organization's capacity across key areas such as fundraising, community development, and overall organizational effectiveness.
    • Conduct needs assessments to identify capacity gaps and develop tailored solutions to drive continuous improvement.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to internal teams, ensuring the effective execution of capacity-building programs and initiatives.

    Fundraising:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet revenue goals and ensure the financial health of the organization.
    • Identify and build strong relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and other funding sources.
    • Craft compelling grant proposals, sponsorship requests, and other fundraising materials to secure financial support.
    • Plan and manage fundraising campaigns, including donor outreach, event logistics, and follow-up activities.
    • Track and assess fundraising efforts to measure success and identify opportunities for improvement.

    Collaboration and Communication:

    • Partner with the board, staff, and leadership to align capacity building and fundraising activities with organizational goals.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including donors, partners, and board members, to promote the organization's mission, impact, and funding needs.
    • Represent the organization at meetings and networking events alongside the Executive Director to build awareness and foster relationships within the community.

    Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities, donor contributions, and grant submissions.
    • Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, detailing fundraising progress, budget allocations, and capacity-building achievements.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and reporting requirements related to fundraising and grants management.

    Marketing and Outreach:

    • Collaborate with staff to identify and engage new communities and market segments to extend our message and broaden our impact.
    • Research and target new demographic groups, geographic regions, or industry sectors that align with the organization’s mission and values.
    • Work with the team to develop and implement outreach strategies aimed at expanding our reach within these new markets.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, communications, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in capacity building, fundraising, or nonprofit management.
    • In-depth knowledge of capacity development practices and proven success in securing funding through various channels.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage diverse audiences.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Google products and Little Green Light fundraising software.
    • A team player with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

    Hours: 25 per week

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: $34.00 – 35.00 per hour
