    Job Type: Seasonal part-time

    Job Location: Assistant to the Strings Camp Director is needed at the following Levine Campus:

    • NW DC Campus

    2801 Upton Street, NW

    Washington, DC 20008

    • Position Summary: This position is open to an undergraduate, graduate student, or recent graduate, preferably with a background in string music education and with an interest in working with students ages 10

    18. This is a paid position which could be classified as an internship. Please contact us and your school personnel for requirements.

    Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

    The Assistant to the Strings Camp Director is an administrative assistant position that involves supporting the Director at Levine Strings Camp and the campers. The Assistant must be available August 4, 2025 – August 8, 2025, onsite at the NW DC campus from 8:30am-4:30pm. This position also involves preparation at the NW DC, Upton St. campus the week before the camp. These hours are flexible. And it requires participation in faculty and teen apprentice orientations. Responsibilities include:

    • Support the Director in preparing the camp hours the week before camp and 4 hours of training and preparation in the summer. (Date and time are flexible.)
    • Support the Director, faculty, and help coordinate the work of teen apprentice in daily camp operations
    • Organize social activities for the campers during their lunch and snack break.
    • Organize, print, and copy camp materials, including schedules, rosters, lists, and signage
    • Assist Site Director and teen apprentices at early drop off and pick up at the end of the day
    • Supervise campers when necessary
    • Provide extra help to individual campers in preparing for the Friday performance

    Qualifications: Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs are required. Former Strings Camp, or Camp Levine Teen Apprentices, and Levine campers are encouraged to apply.

    Stipend: $1,000.00
