    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    The Development Coordinator provides administrative support for North10 Philadelphia's Development Department and direct assistance to the Director of Development. As an integral member of a fast-paced and highly motivated team, the Development Coordinator is a key liaison—executing projects that engage multiple team members and providing exceptional internal and external customer service to help ensure day-to-day and long-term success in meeting the department’s overarching strategic priorities of raising philanthropic revenue and advancing donor relations.

    Support for the Director of Development

    • Provides the Director of Development and Chief External Affairs Officer with administrative support and project management assistance, including meeting scheduling, gift acknowledgements, general correspondence, and special projects as assigned.
    • Updates the Director of Development donor relations and background information in Donor Perfect’s database and helps monitor and maintain Director of Development ’s prospect and donor pipeline.
    • Arranges and manages foundational, corporate, government and individual donor meetings ranging from virtual to catered meetings—involving the Director of Development and Chief External Affairs Officer and other organizational leaders.
    • Prospect research identifying potential new donors and researching their giving patterns.
    • Assists in research and grant coordination.
    • Assists with research and advance preparation for donor calls and visits.

    Support for Leadership Meetings and Fundraising Events

    • Helps manage correspondence and communications--including meeting scheduling, registration tracking, meeting packet production, and minute-takings for the North10 Philadelphia’s Board of Directors, Campaign Committees, project partners, and consultant’s planning meetings.
    • Assists with preparations for in-person annual fundraising events and post events follow-ups.

    External Affairs Department Support

    • Maintains External Affairs Department communications and grant calendar to support outbound mailings and grant schedules.
    • Organizes and supports the External Affairs Team’s distribution of solicitations, acknowledgement letters, event invitations, proposals, donor reports, and other correspondence.
    • Provides proofreading and full-run quality control—from letter templates to letter mergers, signatures, scanning, envelopes, and mailing— to ensure correspondence and collateral adhere to both External Affairs Department and North10 Philadelphia standards.
    • Maintains donor database records related to gift acknowledgement and other donor information.
    • Provides excellent customer service for general development-related inquiries— guaranteeing a positive experience and recording donor and prospect actions in Donor Perfect and Microsoft Teams.
    • Assists with preparation for high-profile development events—including registration lists, nametags, event materials, event-related correspondence, supply ordering, set-up and clean-up, and other event-related roles as assigned.
    • Oversees the inventory of department-related assets including paper and envelope supplies, donor premiums, and printed promotional items.
    • Utilizes data analytics to track donor engagement, retention rates, and revenue streams.
