Currently, we are recruiting for a Museum Store Assistant to join our team. The Museum Store Assistant will assists with the operations of the museum store; performs a variety of duties including greeting and assisting customers, handling sales transactions, maintaining the store appearance, and assisting with stocking, inventory, and preparing merchandise. The Assistant is expected to provide consistent exceptional customer service and to build sales through proactive, positive interaction with the customers.
The position regularly engages with staff, vendors, visitors, volunteers, members, and colleagues in a personable and respectful manner.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Sales floor environment. Good physical mobility, visual acuity, and manual dexterity in order to move and handle merchandise, and operate the POS system. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. The nature of the work requires standing for long periods of time.
Evening and weekend hours are required.
COMPENSATION
The Asian Art Museum is committed to practicing salary transparency. The hourly range for this position is $20.9901 - 25.2096/hr.
