    Description

    Program: Core Leadership Program (CLP)

    Location: Palestinian communities (urban, rural, and refugee camps)

    Language Requirements: Proficiency in English and Arabic

    Position Summary:

    The Assistant Co-Holder & Co-Facilitator plays an integral role in the CLP, a USAID-funded program that fosters leadership, dialogue, and community engagement among Palestinian youth aged 14-17. This position combines co-facilitation responsibilities with support in managing the relational, logistical, and programmatic aspects of the initiative. Working closely with the lead facilitator and project management staff, the role ensures smooth program delivery in alignment with Seeds of Peace and Middle East Partnership for Peace Act (MEPPA) guidelines.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Co-Facilitation and Workshop Delivery:
      • Support the lead facilitator in conducting interactive sessions on dialogue, identity, leadership, and conflict resolution.
      • Foster a safe and inclusive environment that promotes trust and active engagement among participants.
      • Assist in adapting workshop content to meet the needs of diverse youth participants.
    2. Relational and Emotional Support:
      • Act as a key point of contact for participants, building relational connections and fostering group cohesion.
      • Provide emotional and psychoeducational support during workshops, utilizing trauma-informed approaches.
    3. Curriculum Coordination:
      • Work with the Palestinian Program Director and lead facilitator on curriculum design and delivery.
      • Help coordinate with other facilitators to ensure consistency and alignment across sessions.
    4. Logistical and Operational Support:
      • Assist in scheduling and organizing workshops, including managing venues, materials, and transportation.
      • Communicate with participants and families to address logistical concerns and ensure smooth participation.
    5. Compliance and Reporting:
      • Work alongside project operations staff to ensure program adherence to USAID, Seeds of Peace, and MEPPA requirements.
      • Contribute to reporting and monitoring processes, supporting program evaluation and feedback collection.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
    • Experience in group facilitation and youth engagement, preferably within Palestinian communities.
    • Strong relational and communication skills, with proficiency in English and Arabic.
    • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and dialogical learning approaches.
    • Organizational skills and experience coordinating logistics for educational programs.

    Work Schedule:

    This is a full-time role with flexible responsibilities, including workshop facilitation, curriculum coordination, and logistical support, regardless of the number or frequency of sessions.
