    Type: Contract

    Location: Remote in the U.S. with availability aligned with Eastern Standard Time (EST).

    Pay Rate: $50 per hour

    Duration: Early December through January 31st, 2025 (15-20 hours per week). A contract extension is contingent on funding.

    About Private Sponsorship for Refugees

    The Department of State, Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) launched Welcome Corps, a Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) program in January 2023 as part of the Administration’s efforts to expand community sponsorship in refugee resettlement. Community Sponsorship Hub and its consortium develop and implement the infrastructure to welcome and support thousands of refugees by equipping lawful permanent residents and citizens to welcome newcomers and experience the benefits of resettlement firsthand. The program allows Americans to consistently engage in sponsorship and meaningfully enhance integration outcomes for refugees. The PSR pilot program builds on previous successes in community sponsorship programs to expand resettlement capacity in the United States and diversify welcoming communities, bringing new perspectives, and increasing opportunities to take part in resettlement.

    Contract Overview

    CSH is working to spin-off from its fiscal sponsor into its own entity. To make a smooth transition we need someone with technical expertise to assist in the areas listed in the scope of work below.

    Scope of Work

    Planning

    • Project manage tech spin-off plan, including entering information into Airtable tracking tool, weekly email status updates
    • Create communications plan so staff are aware of any changes
    • Ensure seamless tech transition from RPA to CSH
    • Create comprehensive list of all tools CSH is using now and post spin off. Understand purpose of tools and how they interact.
    • Suggest more cost-effective or efficient tools.

    IT Partner

    • Review current contract, summarize main points
    • Determine if we should move to new IT partner
    • Suggest updates to contract to align with CSH priorities
    • Work with Synoptek to ensure relevant online tools speak to each other
    • Create asset management tool
    • Work with Synoptek to ensure effective rollout of network security initiatives
    • Recommend what tech policies should be implemented in order of priority

    Sharepoint

    • Review SharePoint structure, create plan for restructuring balancing security and ease of use
    • Have Synoptek implement new structure
    • Update SharePoint permissions
    • Train staff on new SharePoint site

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in technology management
    • 5+ years leading tech projects
    • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and software
    • Familiarity with IT cybersecurity best practices and data privacy regulations
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (including SharePoint)
    • Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to present technical information to stakeholders
    • Proven ability to manage projects effectively and meet multiple deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently and part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
