    Description

    Are you a solution-based professional who has a contagious positive outlook? A person who can work independently and as part of a team managing multiple projects at one time? Hope Sheds Light is seeking a full-time Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) to work in our Ocean and/or Monmouth County locations.

    The ideal candidate will have experience and or knowledge of the recovery community organization movement (RCO), be able to offer recovery coaching assistance, speak to inspire, facilitate peer-to-peer support group meetings, and carry out special projects as assigned. The CPRS must be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with diverse teams. This position will require regular evening and weekend hours.

    Priority will be given to a candidate who has a personal connection to our mission and considers themselves a recovery ally, family member, or a person with direct lived experience.

    The CPRS is an experienced recovery coach and can provide recovery coaching face-to-face and through telephone support based on the individual's personal choice. The CPRS will provide systems navigation support, family support services, and recovery coaching, as well as the following:

    • The CPRS will be able to provide one-on-one peer recovery coaching, help recoverees develop Individual Recovery Success Plans (IRSP), and increase their recovery capital.
    • The CPRS will facilitate the effective management of various agency programs according to the organization’s standards.
    • The CPRS will be responsible for the timely submission of all mandatory reporting.
    • The CPRS will help plan and organize programs and activities and carry out important operational duties.
