    Description

    Position Description:

    The Child and Family Therapist is responsible for assessing the needs of clients and providing individual therapy; family therapy; support group, case management, advocacy, and referral services to youth and their families. 75% of the client group for this position will be enrolled Medicaid.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Provide high quality, culturally sensitive, strengths-based mental health services to youth & their families
    • Maintain required caseload and meet with clients on a regular basis
    • Expected caseload of 20-26 clients at a time with the possibility of co-leading one group per school year
    • Respond to new client referrals within 24 hours
    • Perform comprehensive intake assessments and complete required file documentation
    • Develop relevant, client-driven, strengths-based treatment plans within 30 days of intake
    • Utilize appropriate therapeutic modalities to treat issues of concern
    • Provide effective age and culturally competent services
    • Maintain treatment records and reports in an accurate and timely manner according to contractual and agency standards
    • Maintain confidentiality of records in accordance with HIPAA and other standards
    • Work with referral sources, collateral contacts, etc. to enhance services to the client

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Attend case consultation and supervision
    • Attend Counseling Center team meetings and other meetings as required
    • 100% contract compliance
    • Promptly respond to phone calls and other inquiries from the community (schools, other agencies, healthcare providers, etc.) on behalf of the Counseling Center, including requests for counseling.
    • As part of a rotating team, be responsible for in-office evening coverage 5 shifts per quarter from 5:00pm - 7:00pm
    • Counseling sessions can be scheduled between 8:00am - 7:00pm in order to better accommodate family schedules
    • Participate in community activities that enhance support for our clients and/or agency
    • Maintain current Washington State license as affiliated counselor, licensed associate, licensed counselor, etc.
    • Develop a plan for professional development in consultation with supervisor and attend appropriate trainings when possible
    • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients, families, co-workers and community resources.

    Benefits

    This position is full time, 36 hours per week. The hourly pay range is $34.00 to $37.39, depending on experience. Benefits include employer paid medical, dental, vision, disability, short term and long term disability insurance; and life insurance. Generous sick and vacation time including 10 paid holidays and a 2-week paid holiday break in December.

    Some additional benefits include fun & dedicated staff, flexible work schedule, free CEU opportunities and supervision for licensure. We have reasonable case load expectations.
