    Summary:

    The Development Specialist will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of fundraising for C2C. Working closely with the Managing Director, the Development Specialist will oversee C2C’s annual fund, develop a calendar of donor touchpoints, support moves management for VIP stakeholders, and ensure smooth and effective organizational communications. The Development Specialist will play a key role in institutional fundraising, writing grant content, managing a grants calendar, conducting prospect research, and helping to expand C2C’s institutional donor base.

They will have enthusiasm for supporting and participating in C2C’s ambitious growth and strategic plans over the next few years. Our Development Specialist needs to be creative, an independent problem-solver with strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and eager to manage a large portfolio of responsibilities in support of C2C’s mission and growth.

    Role & Responsibilities:

    • Support the grants function for the organization, including managing the grants calendar and writing LOIs, reports, and proposals;
    • Identify new grants and opportunities through prospect research;
    • Manage the annual fund cycle, including annual appeals, online giving, and donor relations;
    • Work directly with C2C’s Managing Director on a portfolio of VIP stakeholders.
    • Manage all donation analytics and reporting;
    • Monitor progress against grant deliverables (outputs, outcomes, budget);
    • Develop and lead a growth-oriented annual fund portfolio, including stakeholder touchpoints, messaging, solicitation, and stewardship;
    • Collaborate with Program colleagues to ensure alignment between clinical operations, impact measurement, reporting, and donor engagement;
    • Work with the Communications Associate to create donor presentations, reports, and Annual Reports that align with C2C’s core mission and work;
    • Manage the CRM database and other in-house systems to track funders and prospects effectively;
    • Support business development and new partner scoping.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on global health, international development, business relations, or a related discipline;
    • At least 3 years of experience in grant management and global fundraising, including with bilateral and multilateral corporations and foundations;
    • Experience with nonprofit grants, donor reporting, and budget adherence;
    • Process-oriented with the capacity to develop and drive work plans and meet deadlines;
    • Flexible, self-directed, with keen attention to detail, entrepreneurial style, and able to adapt to the competing demands of a small and agile organization;
    • Strong writing abilities, both creative and analytical, with strong editing and synthesizing skills.

    Details:

    • This is a part-time position (with flexible hours), fully remote, and may be based anywhere in the US (preferably in a metropolitan area). Occasional travel may be required;
