    Description

    Purpose Statement: The Director of Growth is a key executive role responsible for driving strategic growth at Global Medical Brigades by overseeing the sales and marketing functions (collectively referred to as the Growth team.) This leader will focus on scaling chapter and volunteer growth, increasing volunteer engagement, expanding partnerships, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals across teams. The role will directly manage the Sales team while working collaboratively with Marketing to execute integrated strategies that amplify Global Medical Brigades’ impact and reach. The role reports directly to the President.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    Strategic Leadership & Team Oversight

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy, aligning Sales and Marketing efforts to meet organizational objectives.
    • Take responsibility for meeting and exceeding revenue goals.
    • Identify and prioritize new growth opportunities.

    Sales Team Management

    • Directly manage the growth team, ensuring they achieve high performance in chapter creation, independent volunteer conversion, and volunteer retention.
    • Oversee lead management processes and ensure the team maintains accurate and organized records in the CRM (Hubspot).
    • Support the Growth team in nurturing potential student leaders through the volunteer life cycle, from first engagement to program participation.
    • Provide direct mentorship to the Growth Team.
    • Facilitate productive one-on-one meetings, scorecard reviews, and team discussions to ensure team alignment with organizational goals.
    • Manage and delegate call volume and projects to keep balanced workloads among the team.

    Marketing Management

    • Manage the marketing budget and effort to drive the goals of the growth team.
    • Ensure the effective and on-brand advocacy of Global Medical Brigades’ programming through social media, conferences, webinars, and/or any other channels that make economic sense.

    Organizational Growth & Partnership Development

    • Drive initiatives to expand the volunteer and partner base, targeting universities, student leaders, and relevant organizations.
    • Identify, develop and manage partnerships to increase revenue.
    • Analyze growth metrics and provide regular updates to the Executive Leadership Team, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Oversee retention strategies to maintain strong chapter relationships, encourage leader transitions, and promote future brigade planning.

    Qualifications:

    Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

    Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years in growth-focused roles, including managing Sales or Marketing teams. Experience in nonprofit, social enterprise, or international programming is a plus.

    Skills:

    • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
    • Proven ability to design and execute growth strategies.
    • Strong understanding of CRM systems (Hubspot preferred) and data-driven decision-making.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
    • Ability to work effectively in a remote, fast-paced environment.
    • Passion for Global Medical Brigades’ mission.
