    Organization Purpose and Background:

Welcoming Home helps individuals and families who are transitioning out of homelessness and poverty by fully furnishing and equipping their homes while engaging the local community in donating gently used furniture and keeping good furniture out of landfills. We do it with no charge to the residents or referring social service agency. We’ve been around for nine years, receiving our 501(c)(3) designation in mid 2023 and having been fiscally sponsored until 12/31/2023. During that time, we've refined and optimized our processes to offer a unique and highly impactful service to those living “homeless while housed.” Last year we furnished 39 homes in Marin and Sonoma Counties. More about us: www.welcominghome.org
