    Description

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Representing clients in the immigration petition process (family-based adjustments, asylum, VAWA and U-Visas).
    • Consulting with ACLC colleagues about the immigration consequences of family law and criminal law court proceedings.

    Qualifications:

    • At least two (2) years of immigration law experience.
    • A demonstrated interest in economic, social, and racial justice.
    • We value diversity. People of color, people with experience living in poverty, LGBTQIA-identifying people, women, and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
    • This position calls for a person with experience representing clients in immigration cases. The ideal candidate will have a background consulting with clients, issue spotting, reviewing evidence, drafting court documents, and appearing in court.
    • Attorneys must already be licensed in a U.S. state bar.
    • Fluency in Spanish or another second language is desirable but not mandatory.
