    The Washington Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (WCAAP) is hiring a short-term full-time Program Manager to support clinical improvement efforts and our community relationships. This role is expected to be funded through March 31, 2026. In this role you will lead and implement a variety of programs and projects related to community partnerships and family engagement. Primary job responsibilities include project and program management, data collection and analysis, preparing and leading training and education, and supporting stakeholder meetings. Strong emphasis on supporting equitable healthcare, building, and maintaining trust in the medical home and strengthening partnerships with allied stakeholders.

    This position is full-time, working remotely but must be available to work in Bellevue, WA as often as once a week. WCAAP requires that all employees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Salary $72,000-$85,050, depending on experience. WCAAP provides a stipend to cover health insurance premiums, IRA-matching and generous time off benefits including up to 17-days of holiday pay, 3-weeks of vacation pay in the first year and 12 sick-days per year.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Your job will be to facilitate and support education, training, and quality improvement interventions for WCAAP in its role of supporting providers and improving child health and well-being. Support standing or ad hoc WCAAP teams and steering committee(s). Facilitate WCAAP relationships with allied stakeholders and parents. Responsible for program management, summarizing and preparing data and research, coordinating workshops and training, preparing

    education materials, communicating with WCAAP trustees, members, staff and stakeholders. Collaborate with WCAAP members and partners in evaluation, coordination and promotion of results. Lead support of grants including required reporting and regular communication with granting agencies or organizations. Develop efficient strategies and tactics to achieve organizational and grant priorities.

    Required Education/Experience:

    • Bachelors’ Degree in Social Sciences, health, communications or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible experience supporting health care policy, health promotion, quality improvement or health care management, performing project management/coordination in a team environment.

    Preferred:

    • Direct experience facilitating community engagement and community partnerships.
    • Masters’ Degree in public health, health administration or related field.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Thorough understanding of program/project management techniques and methods
    • Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
    • Ability to write clearly and concisely to contribute to reports, grants, and communication materials
    • Knowledge of strategies to promote health equity and impact of racism on health and health care access
    • Outstanding communication and relationship building skills

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The primary job responsibilities and accountabilities listed below represent work performed by this position and are not all-inclusive.

    • Formulate, organize, and monitor inter-connected projects and processes to achieve desired results.
    • Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans. Prepare and complete action plans and progress reports to funders.
    • Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, contributing to budget projections, and tracking spending toward deliverables.
    • Understand and stay current in best practices in pediatrics, public health and quality improvement as relevant to project deliverables and organizational priorities; maintain personal networks; travels to and participates in professional trainings and organizations.
    • Develop and control deadlines, budgets, and activities within the organization’s scope on project.
    • Resolve projects’ higher scope issues; escalate concerns to executive director and/or appropriate medical director; report on progress to program directors.
    • Coordinate and facilitate groups of external stakeholders to work on common interests.
    • Facilitate family voice to improve child, adolescent and family well-being and improve pediatric care.
    • Coordinate in-person and virtual training events for clinical staff.
    • Oversee material preparation for faculty and participants, agenda-setting, and communication with attendees and event support.
    • Collaborate and communicate regularly with partners from other organizations to achieve common project goals and resolve barriers quickly.
    • Support grant monitoring and management including facilitating professional service agreements, grant budget monitoring, invoicing, and reporting.
    • Work closely with and collaborate as needed with colleagues in support of WCAAP mission and goals.
