Position Overview
Mural Arts Philadelphia is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our Development Team. This role is essential in securing funding to support our community-based arts initiatives. The Grant Writer will research, prepare, submit, and track grant proposals to Federal, state, local, and private funding agencies, collaborating with internal stakeholders to align proposals with our strategic priorities.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in grant writing, particularly in responding to foundation and institutional requests related to community-based arts. This individual should have exceptional writing and editing skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate Mural Arts Philadelphia’s mission and impact to potential funders. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in grant writing, with a focus on foundation and institutional funding for community-based arts programs.
Compensation & Benefits
$55,000- $60,000 per year
