The role requires experience in arts, education, media, or related fields, with a balanced focus on both in-person programming and digital content production. About the Department:

Juilliard Extension is the Juilliard School’s flagship continuing education program and serves as a place of creativity, innovation, and boundless opportunity for participating in the performing arts. No matter a student’s background, age, ability, or location, Juilliard Extension invites everyone to take part in this vibrant community of experts and enthusiasts from all walks of life. A key component of Juilliard Extension is our Lifelong Learning Program, which is dedicated to bringing the enriching experience of the performing arts to older adults, fostering engagement and development regardless of age.

Juilliard’s non-matriculated, continuing education program first began in 1905 when music lessons were offered to qualified students through the Extension program at the Institute of Musical Arts, which later became The Juilliard School. The program grew and in 1933 began as the Extension Division before being renamed the Evening Division in 1989. In 2021, the program returned to its original name, now known as Juilliard Extension.

Today, over 1300 students enroll each year for popular classes taught by Juilliard’s distinguished faculty of performers, creators, and scholars. Juilliard Extension offers a wealth of courses to advance technical and professional skills, earn college credit, and expand an individual’s horizons in the performing arts.
