    Turning the Page Partnership Manager, Washington, DC

    Turning the Page is seeking an entrepreneurial and organized individual who is passionate about improving public education and will engage public school families through implementing programs that participants, including children, parents, teachers and community partners value and find meaningful. The ideal candidate engenders trust and inspires confidence in the community and will lead a team of two AmeriCorps VISTA members.

    Core Responsibilities

    The Partnership Manager shall collaborate with principals, teachers, staff and community partners and will be responsible implementing programs at TTP DC partner schools (preK-8th grade), focusing on:

    Mobile Meetings, which provide parents with one-on-one support to advance their children’s learning, such as strategies for increasing reading motivation and connecting more effectively with their children’s teachers, and access to resources in the community. The Partnership Coordinator will both recruit and engage parents to participate and lead mobile meetings with program participants.

    Parent Workshops, designed to enhance at-home learning and collaboration with parents and caregivers and their children’s schools. Partnership Manager will both recruit and engage parents to participate and facilitate parent workshops.

    Digital Resource Hub, a centralized location for information and resources for everyone involved with Turning the Page. Hosted on Facebook, parents, teachers, and community partners can access and share learning resources for educating children at home and in the community.

    Building Home Libraries. Turning the Page provides parents access to high quality, new books in the home for their families to enjoy together. Partnership manager shall participate in the selection and distribution of books to participating families.

    Pathways to Higher Education and/or Careers. Turning the Page engages with middle school families and partners across TTP programs to ensure that caregivers and their students have the information and resources necessary to understand the pathways to graduating high school and moving on to higher education and/or careers.

    Core competences required

    Three to five years, full-time related experience, with classroom teaching experience a plus.

    • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with colleagues and community partners
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead community-based programs
    • Demonstrated ability to develop curricula for school and community-based programs
    • Extremely well organized
    • Excellent writing skills
    • Ability to strategically plan
    • Ability to supervise program staff
    • Ability to enter and analyze data for program evaluation purposes
    • Demonstrated team player
    • BA in related field, Masters in Education or related field a plus
    • Knowledge of Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace and Tableau a plus
    • Knowledge of the public education system and the role of the community and public in

    improving public schools.
