    Administrator, Meetings & Membership

    The American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), a leading medical specialty society located in Bethesda, Maryland, is seeking a Meetings Coordinator to help the College further its mission.

    Position Summary:

    The Meetings Administrator will work with the Director of Meetings and Vice President of Meetings and Exhibits to support the logistical planning of educational conferences, committee meetings and attendee travel for the College. Responsibilities will include:

    • Communicating and interacting with association members, conference attendees and leadership on a regular basis via phone and e-mail correspondence
    • Managing the nomination and acceptance process for several courses throughout the year
    • Managing the travel logistics (flights, train, etc.) for faculty and some course attendees for 16+ courses per year
    • Assisting Meeting Department staff with preparation of onsite materials
    • Meeting planning for smaller committee meetings and one annual course
    • Assisting Membership Department staff with dues renewals
    • Assisting with answering main association phone lines
    • Other duties as assigned

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Microsoft Access or database management is a plus
    • High caliber attention to detail, organization and time management skills
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Some travel required
