988 Crisis Line Program Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The 988 Program Manager provides leadership to the organization by managing the 988 Suicide Prevention Lifeline and the Hotline program. The 988 Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality of services offered by Centre Helps’ 24/hour hotline and text/chat line through effective recruitment, training, supervision, scheduling, and program planning. The 988 Program Manager works closely and collaboratively with the Executive Director. Ideally, as a successful candidate helps grow the agency, this position will grow into a Director of Operations position.

The 988 Manager must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to pay attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is critical. Public speaking, collaborative management, and commitment to agency growth are required.

Experience and education related to hotline work, social services, and/or management is required as described below. Flexible scheduling, some evening and weekend work required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A master’s degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation, activity therapies, counseling, education, or related fields and 3 years of mental health direct care experience
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field as defined in Proposed 55 PA. Code 5240.31 and five years of mental health direct care experience or
• A bachelor’s degree in nursing and three years mental health direct care experience or
• A registered nurse license, certified in psychology or psychiatry, or
