    Position Overview

    The Communications Manager will play a vital role in enhancing Trickle Up’s visibility, engaging with key stakeholders, and supporting our fundraising and partnership efforts. This position creates compelling content, manages communications activities, and coordinates outreach to donors, partners, and the media. The ideal candidate is a creative communicator with strong writing, graphic design, and organizational skills who is dedicated to amplifying Trickle Up’s mission.

    Principal Functions

    Donor Communications & Content Development

    • Craft engaging messages and materials for fundraising campaigns, annual reports, and donor updates to ensure continued support.
    • Collect and share program information, success stories, and best practices to highlight Trickle Up’s impact.
    • Review and edit project and organizational documents for external distribution.
    • Collaborate with the Business Development, Partnerships, and Individual Giving teams to identify and draft compelling stories, case studies, and impact data to support campaigns, events, and advocacy initiatives.

    Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Ensure that Trickle Up’s achievements and success stories are effectively communicated to stakeholders through promotional materials.
    • Design, edit, and produce communication products such as project reports, fact sheets, newsletters, and brochures.
    • Communicate effectively with external partners, donors, and governmental bodies to strengthen collaborations.
    • Support networking and resource mobilization efforts by producing clear and consistent communication materials.

    Event Support & Campaign Management

    • Prepare communication materials to support events and awareness campaigns to increase Trickle Up’s visibility.
    • Customize communication materials to align with the thematic focus and needs of different stakeholders.
    • Facilitate capacity-building sessions for field staff on communication best practices, including writing impactful success stories.
    • Collect and compile information for reports, project updates, and other organizational activities.
    • Support program teams in producing reports and project updates.

    Outreach & Marketing Materials Creation

    • Develop and maintain brand guidelines. Ensure that all materials created across the organization comply with brand guidelines.
    • Support the creation of communication and marketing materials to enhance Trickle Up’s visibility, including templates for PowerPoint presentations, reports, and impact stories.
    • Assist in the production of outreach materials for both digital and print platforms.
    • Maintain and update communication and networking files to ensure easy access to key resources.

    Qualifications

    Education Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field.

    Experience Requirements

    • 2–3 years of experience in communications, graphic design, or related roles, with a portfolio showcasing strong design and creative work.
    • Design Proficiency: Skilled in using industry-standard design tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other platforms like Canva or Figma.
    • Strong Visual Storytelling Skills: Ability to create visually compelling content that aligns with organizational branding and resonates with diverse audiences.
    • Digital Media Expertise: Familiarity with social media platforms, web content management systems (e.g., WordPress), and email marketing tools.
    • Basic Video Editing Skills: Experience with video creation and editing tools (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) is a plus.

    Salary and Benefits

    We offer a salary between $54,000 to $63,500 commensurate with experience along with a generous benefits package including medical, dental, and vision, life insurance, professional development opportunities, access to other voluntary benefits, and a fully vested 403B retirement plan as well as paid time off and paid federal holidays.
