    Description

Our Organization: iEARN-USA, a founding member of the iEARN International community, is a leader in international student exchange programming. Our Vision and Mission are to create a more interconnected, peaceful, and just world by developing and empowering an inclusive global community of students and educators who bridge cultural divides and work together to make a meaningful difference in the world. iEARN-USA develops and facilitates K-12 virtual exchange programs, implements high school study abroad programs, delivers professional development and global networking for educators, and assists in the development of program content worldwide.

Compañeros de Clase Globales: iEARN-USA’s Compañeros de Clase Globales is a fully-funded virtual exchange program between the US, Mexico, and Guatemala that inspires and develops youth into global leaders of the 21st century. The program engages Spanish-speaking students through cross-cultural and collaborative learning, discovering each other’s cultures, examining compelling real-world issues, and exploring ways they can make a difference. Projects draw on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and are designed to seamlessly integrate into existing Social Studies, Language Arts, and STEM lessons. Across each project, classrooms explore a common idea building on global competences. Each project has four main components: classroom activities, live online sessions, sharing work and feedback, and taking action through classroom, school, or community presentations of their learning. The exchange culminates in a virtual showcase to celebrate the participants' projects and their impact.

iEARN-USA’s Compañeros de Clase Globales is funded by the Stevens Initiative, which is housed at the Aspen Institute and is supported by the Bezos Family Foundation.
