    Description

    VSAC, a Vermont nonprofit, partners with students of all ages to help them explore, choose, and pay for the education they need to pursue the career they want or improve the job they have. Since 1965 we have passionately served Vermont students to realize their college and training goals with school-based outreach programs, college and career planning resources, grants, scholarships, workforce development programs, Vermont’s official education savings plan and nonprofit student loans.

    The Senior Internal Auditor will develop and maintain a financial audit program, perform internal audits and reviews, recommend changes to enhance internal controls and work with external parties, where appropriate to the external audits or examinations are being performed. While administratively reporting to the CFO, this position is accountable to the Audit Committee.

    Requirements:

      • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
      • CPA/CIA preferred
      • Significant, direct experience planning and executing audits, including use of standard auditing techniques, in either public accounting practice or in an internal audit department. (5+ years)
