    Jesuit Refugee Service/USA

    The mission of Jesuit Refugee Service JRS/(USA) is to accompany, serve, and advocate for refugees and other forcibly displaced persons. JRS works in 58 countries around the globe to meet the educational, health, psychosocial, and emergency needs of over 1.2 million refugees and other forcibly displaced persons without regard to race, ethnic origin, or religious beliefs.

    Job Description

    The Development Department raises funds from individuals, foundations, and corporations to support the life-changing work of Jesuit Refugee Service around the world. The Development Operations Coordinator is avital member of JRS/(USA)’s Development Team and provides mission-critical support to the organization.

    This person will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of all incoming data used to track, report, and analyze fundraising activities and build and maintain relationships with JRS/USA donors. This individual will also facilitate other relationships with JRS/(USA)’s internal and external constituencies by preparing acknowledgement letters and planning special events.

    The Development Operations Coordinator reports to the Development Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Enter donor data into CRM and other programs in a timely manner with meticulous attention to detail
    • Manage and maintain CRM records
    • Navigate multiple data management systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date records
    • Track, report, and analyze departmental fundraising efforts
    • Coordinate knowledge sharing with accounting daily
    • Coordinate and plan special events
    • Prepare and disseminate acknowledgment letters for supporters
    • Coordinate and manage project planning for Development Team with Asana.
    • Research for donor reports as requested
    • Research for grant funding as requested
    • Provide additional support to the Development Team as needed
    • Provide other administrative support as assigned
    • Understand and support the mission of JRS and the Development Department’s goals and objectives

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • 1-3 years of relevant experience required
    • Outstanding attention to detail
    • Analytically inclined
    • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
    • Ability to take the initiative, function independently, and exercise good judgment
    • Eagerness to grow, including willingness to cross-train within the department
    • Experience with Donor Perfect, Salesforce, Asana, Apsona, Benevity, Blackbaud, Stripe, a plus
