    Description

    We are seeking a highly motivated, forward-thinking Research Specialist to lead efforts in creating a comprehensive government focused research project. The ideal candidate will possess strong research skills, a proactive approach to identifying diverse talent, and experience working with community organizations to ensure inclusive and equitable representation.

    Position Details and Key Responsibilities

    1. Conduct in-depth research to identify and compile a diverse pool of qualified candidates for government appointments.
    2. Collaborate with stakeholders, community organizations, and other networks to ensure inclusive outreach efforts.
    3. Analyze qualifications, experiences, and backgrounds to align candidates with the roles' requirements and organizational values.
    4. Maintain and manage a detailed database of potential candidates, including tracking engagement and progress.
    5. Stay informed about emerging leaders, industry trends, and developments in community organizations that may influence recruitment strategies.
    6. Develop strategies for long-term talent pipeline cultivation and relationship-building with potential appointees.
    7. Draft reports, briefs, and presentations to update leadership on recruitment progress and findings.

    Qualifications & Preferred Skills

    1. Proven experience in research, preferably in recruitment, community
    2. outreach, or a related field.
    3. Strong analytical and organizational skills, with an eye for detail.
    4. Experience working with community organizations or similar groups is strongly preferred.
    5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engagediverse stakeholders effectively.
    6. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and proactively in identifying and addressing recruitment needs.
    7. Proficiency with database management and research tools.
    8. A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.
    9. Familiarity with government or public sector appointment processes.
    10. Background in community advocacy, organizing, or related work.
    11. Project management experience with a focus on deadlines and results.
