Apex for Youth empowers underserved Asian and immigrant youth from low-income families in NYC to unlock their potential and a world of possibility. Through programming focusing on health and well-being, education, and community engagement, Apex for Youth creates transformative social connections and celebrates cultural identity to build the confidence and self-efficacy of future generations.
Apex serves approximately 2,000 students annually from Kindergarten through their post-secondary years. We provide children and young adults with opportunities to develop strong relationships with adults who volunteer as consistent and caring mentors and role models.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Database and IT Senior Administrator to manage the organization’s data systems and technology solutions. Duties include managing the organizations’ data needs, creating and managing systems to securely collect, store, and report on data for programs, marketing and communications, and development needs. Duties also include implementing technology solutions that fit the organization's need, interfacing with software and hardware providers while also training staff to properly adopt the solutions and best practices.
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, the Database and IT Senior Administrator is responsible for creating systems and organizational best practices in order to improve the organization’s efficiency and ability to make data-driven decisions. The Database and IT Senior Administrator works closely with third-party providers and programmers as needed to design and secure the best-fit solution for Apex’s budget and data and technology needs. This senior administrator will work collaboratively across different teams and perspectives to create an integrated solution that meets the needs of different stakeholders to innovate and create data and technology systems that will be crucial to support the mission of the Apex.

Overview of Benefits:
Paid time off: In the first year of employment, employees are eligible for approximately a combined 40 days of vacation, holiday, personal, and sick leave (10 vacation days, 12 paid holidays, org-wide closures for one week over the winter holidays and one week during the Fourth of July, 5 sick days per year, 3 personal days a year).
