    Are you passionate about using your communication skills to make a tangible impact in the fight against human trafficking? The Freedom Story is seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Coordinator to join our team!

    At The Freedom Story, we are dedicated to preventing child trafficking and exploitation through education and empowerment. Your role will be pivotal in crafting messages that inspire, engage, and mobilize our community to support our mission.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Fundraising Campaigns:

    • Design and execute digital and direct mail fundraising campaigns to engage mass audiences.
    • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-informed improvements.
    • Collaborate with graphic designers, the CEO, and the fundraising team to bring campaigns to life.
    • Coordinate and execute online and in-person events to bolster campaign success.

    Content Creation

    • Develop compelling email campaigns, manage the email calendar, and analyze metrics for future optimization.
    • Craft high-quality print materials such as brochures, newsletters, and donor recognition pieces.
    • Produce and schedule engaging content for social media platforms while maintaining community engagement through timely responses.
    • Craft internal and external communications to further the mission of The Freedom Story

    Donor Relations

    • Manage timely and thoughtful donor acknowledgment processes.
    • Oversee donor data systems (Virtuous CRM) to support strategic decision-making and relationship management.
    • Supervise the administrative team to ensure accurate tracking and receipting of contributions.

    Requirements:

    • Education and Experience:
      • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field.
      • 2+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or fundraising roles, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
    • Skills and Expertise:
      • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences.
      • Proficiency in social media management and tools like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
      • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp or Constant Contact).
      • Experience with donor management systems (e.g., Virtuous or similar CRMs) is a plus.
      • Strong analytical skills for tracking and improving campaign performance.
      • Graphic design or familiarity with tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus.
