Brooklyn Jesuit Prep is a Jesuit, Catholic middle school for students and families from underserved communities. The mission of the school is to break the cycle of poverty through education, employing a rigorous, well-rounded program with an extended school day, summer leadership camp, and robust graduate support program.
Role Description
The history teacher will support our school’s mission as a classroom leader and role model, unlocking the potential within our students as intellectual leaders and young men and women for others. This role entails teaching 6th, 7th & 8th grade history. This position may also include extracurricular leadership during our extended day program, as well as other duties assigned by the principal.

Essential Responsibilities
Start Date: Immediate (open to a long-term sub through June only, or a permanent hire)
Salary Range: $52,000-$64,000. Commensurate with years of experience in education or related field(s).
This position is a 10-month, in-person role. Benefits (401(k), medical, dental, vision) go into effect immediately. Fordham University offers a 40% tuition discount for advanced degrees to Brooklyn Jesuit Prep employees.
