    Social Media Coordinator

    The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a unique global network of policy research centers around the world, is seeking a detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to join its communications team in Washington, DC.

    The primary responsibility of the Social Media Coordinator will be to develop and execute Carnegie’s day-to-day social media strategy. Duties will include managing Carnegie’s primary social media platforms, developing short and long-term social media plans for programs and individual scholars, working with communications teams at our centers around the world to develop social media strategy, tracking social media analytics, advising scholars on new social media strategies, and developing new, creative ideas to promote Carnegie’s content on social media.

    The ideal candidate will be creative and organized and possess excellent attention to detail, excellent writing and editing skills, and be able to work independently to solve problems and complete projects quickly without sacrificing quality and accuracy. They will also have a keen interest in international affairs and follow online conversations around key global issues. Experience working on social media campaigns for Twitter, Instagram, or LinkedIn, as well as a deep understanding of social media analytics is strongly desirable. Experience distilling complex issues into engaging content is a plus.

    This is an exciting, early career opportunity for a goal-oriented person with some social media experience and an interest in digital communications and international affairs. The salary range for this position will be approximately $50,000 to $53,000, including health insurance benefits. This position will be a part of the outreach team and report to the Communications Director. This is not a virtual position. Carnegie employees are required to work in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and can work from home Mondays and Fridays.
