Position Overview:
The Managing Director of Development plays an integral role in the development department as deputy to the Vice President for Development, serving as a key thought partner on creating and implementing a fundraising strategy and managing overall development operations. This position works closely with the VP, development team members, and across the organization to streamline system utilization, enhance development department processes, and support the day-to-day and long-term operations of the development team. A successful candidate will be an experienced fundraiser with strong strategic thinking abilities, interpersonal and managerial skills, and a forward-thinking and expeditious approach to identifying new funding sources, creating solutions, and increasing efficiency of processes and workflows to support development growth.

This position is responsible for directly managing the Senior Development Operations & Outreach Specialist and Development Associate.
The National Partnership recognizes a staff bargaining unit, National Partnership United, affiliated with the Nonprofit Professional Employees Union/IFPTE Local 70, a union for non-profit workers. This position is NOT included in the NP United bargaining unit.
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this role is 142,055-158,446, with the exact salary determined by years of relevant experience, in alignment with NPWF’s compensation setting criteria.
