    Overview:

    The Major Gifts Coordinator works independently and as part of a team to support fundraising growth at The Inn. This role will focus on building the pipeline of major gifts support, managing a portfolio of 150-200 high-end annual donors and major gift prospects identified through existing annual support, capacity ratings, and referrals, peer screenings, event and program attendance, and online engagement. The Major Gifts Coordinator will work closely with development staff and volunteer leadership, supporting their major gift outreach and capital campaign activities.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage a portfolio of 150-200 high-end annual donors and major gift prospects.
    • Advance relationships with donors and prospects, including Inn email updates, phone calls, visits, and other meaningful interactions to identify and qualify new prospects; cultivate, solicit, and close gifts; and steward annual and major gift donors.
    • Work in collaboration with the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Communications on leveraging mass communication and personalized outreach.
    • Support the broader frontline fundraising team’s major gifts outreach and pipeline development through activities such as prospect research, proposal development, stewardship, and reporting.
    • Leverage the database by supporting data entry and report management.
    • Participate in staff leadership and volunteer donor events and capital campaign activities.

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree required

    Experience:

    Two to four years’ development or similar experience with an interest in frontline fundraising. Experience with Salesforce preferred or the ability to develop proficiency in specific database management systems.

    Skills/Traits:

    Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and follow-through are essential. Should have a positive attitude and work well in a team-oriented environment.

    Schedule:

    Official schedule is Monday through Friday. Must be willing to participate in evening and weekend fundraising and public relations activities.
