    Description

    Clinical research is an essential element in ensuring ideas are rapidly and safely translated to clinical use to transform the lives of people with cystic fibrosis. CTAP is a national cystic fibrosis clinical trials network which has created the infrastructure (network of CTAP centres) and funded additional research capacity (trial coordinators) to support NHS Cystic Fibrosis centres to grow their clinical trial portfolio. This in turn has increased the number of clinical trial opportunities for the UK CF community, and improved access to the newest therapies for people living with cystic fibrosis.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Impact Manager to join the CTAP coordinating team for a 1-year fixed term post. You will lead in the management of impact data and high priority projects which underpin the CTAP programme. You will also play an important role in communicating impact of the CTAP programme to key stakeholders, including the CF patient community, medical professionals and pharmaceutical companies. Whilst this role will sit within the CTAP coordinating team you will be also be supported by, and work closely with, the Trust’s Research Senior Impact Advisor.

    As the right candidate you will:

    • Have experience of managing, summarising and reporting large datasets
    • Be experienced in project management and leading the planning and delivery of new projects
    • Have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, able to explain your work to a wide range of audiences
    • Be able to prioritise a varied workload, working under own initiative as well in a team
