    Department: Development/ Mission Advancement

    Reports To: Associate Director of Development & Communications

    Compensation: Non-exempt, Full-time, 40 hours per week, $24-26/hour

    Role Overview:

    The Development & Communications Coordinator will provide direct daily support to the Associate Director of Development & Communications and will be involved with other stewardship activities related to non-profit fundraising, relationship management, and communications strategy for St Vincent de Paul of Seattle | King County.     Responsibilities:

    • Maintain donor records and record donations on an ongoing basis in the donor database, generate donor acknowledgments and thank-you letters, assist with year-end tax receipting, and ensure overall data integrity.
    • Coordinate and assist with the planning and implementation of fundraising campaigns and events, including our annual breakfast and golf tournament.
    • Assist in design and distribution of organizational communications, including program impact reports, fundraising materials, donor communications, newsletters, and online content.
    • Coordinate website and social media outputs including outside media and visibility strategy.
    • Support the development team in the research and identification of potential donors; assist in donor, sponsor, and partner communications to build and maintain relationships
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or nonprofit management, or a related program of study; candidates with equivalent experience may be considered.
    • High ethical standards, discretion, and confidentiality in working with donor information
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of communication principles and best practices.
      • Strong attention to detail; data oriented.
      • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with computer software such as MS Office, as well as data entry systems (CRMs) and reporting.
      • Knowledge of website management and social media tools including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and others.
      • Demonstrated effectiveness and skill set in event planning and management.
      • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic team environment.
      • The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, with the ability to work either independently or as part of a team.
    • A passion for the organization's mission, equity, and advancing racial and economic justice.
    • Bilingual in English & Spanish is preferred, but not required
