    ABOUT USCPR

USCPR is a political home for all who believe that freedom for the Palestinian people is essential for our collective liberation. We’re building the largest grassroots Palestinian solidarity movement in the United States, and will channel that power toward ending military funding of Israel and ultimately its illegal apartheid regime.

To bolster our movement, we also work with policymakers, movement leaders, media, and advocacy organizations to advance a rights-based, accountability and justice-oriented framework from the U.S. to Palestine.

    POSITION SUMMARY

The US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR) is seeking a full-time Digital Organizing Manager to join our team.

This critical role is ideal for an individual passionate about mobilizing people toward collective action for Palestinian liberation, with a deep knowledge for how the online and offline worlds are colliding and intersecting in this unique moment.

The Digital Organizing Manager will oversee USCPR’s digital organizing programs, focused on building an engaged online community of thousands who support our advocacy and action efforts. To mobilize thousands, you will create content, host digital events, and elevate volunteer leadership to lead distributed teams focused on advocacy and action goals across the country.

In this role you’ll help execute a distributed organizing strategy that effectively empowers everyone to take action toward our North star goal to end U.S. military funding to Israel, regardless of how much time, money, or political power they currently have.

You are an organizer at heart, and have run large digital organizing programs to drive folks to take action, online and offline. You’re aware of the latest digital organizing tech and trends (relational, peer to peer texting, etc.) and have experience training others on how to use them. You bring technical expertise, creativity, problem-solving skills, a commitment to our mission and values, strong interpersonal skills, and a never-ending desire to learn.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • With guidance from directors and in collaboration with the wider team, build out the strategy, plan, and processes for this new stream of work, organizing an engaged online community of individual volunteers and supporters to take action toward our advocacy and action goals
    • Establish day-to-day processes to run this distributed organizing program, including a digital community on Discord, Slack, or similar platforms, community guidelines, trainings offered, best practices for generating volunteer signups, event RSVPs, etc
    • Manage USCPR digital communities within a distributed organizing model, with a focus on community building, training, empowering, and volunteer leadership
      • Implement the ladder of engagement for individual volunteers and supporters to plug in and take action
      • Lead and create digital organizing content including email/SMS blasts, online forms, digital events, toolkits, and training to move them up the ladder of engagement, using platforms such as EveryAction, Action Network, Zoom, and more
    • Manage the Mobile Messaging Inbox in EveryAction and volunteer digital organizing platform(s) to reply to questions from supporters and volunteers within 2 business days
    • Infuse digital organizing goals and tactics into all of our programs and campaigns
    • Train staff, volunteers, and others on digital organizing concepts and best practices
    • Foster an inclusive learning environment that promotes equity and excellence in digital organizing efforts
    • Produce weekly reports on digital organizing metrics for accountability and reporting back to leadership
    • Communicate across departments to promote collaboration and ensure digital organizing resources (tools, staff time, etc) are being used as efficiently and effectively as possible
    • Pitch in on rapid response and breaking news communications tasks as needed
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 4+ years in organizing and digital organizing, with increasing levels of responsibility as well as experience managing staff/volunteers and designing programs.

    • Demonstrated experience working with program & organizing, communications, and other teams to drive cross-departmental goals through digital organizing
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
    • The ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities at once, while also communicating with stakeholders the progress and timeline for delivering on tasks and projects
