PROGRAMS MANAGER – EARLY RESOLUTION PROGRAM

The Organization: The Center for Conflict Resolution (CCR) is an independent, not-for-profit organization, whose funding comes from public and private sources. CCR provides mediation services to the Chicago area, focusing on people of limited means, nonprofits, and institutions supporting the public and community interest. CCR’s programs are run by a staff of twenty-seven and more than 180 volunteer mediators. For more information about the organization, see www.ccrchicago.org.

Please note that this position is fully remote, with some in-person events throughout the year. For this opening, preference will be given to candidates located in the Chicagoland area.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manage referrals through the Early Resolution Program, including intake and referrals, as well as coordination with the public, referral partners, and court personnel.
• Represent the Early Resolution Program on court calls, including providing case updates to court personnel and conducting in-court intake for new referrals.
• Coordinate and schedule virtual mediation sessions in partnership with the public and various court programs.
• Maintain case records, including extensive data entry.
• Telephone and e-mail communication with clients about CCR’s services.
• Support volunteer mediators in virtual mediation sessions
• Train to be a mediator and mediate as needed.

Qualifications: The qualified candidate must:

Minimum Qualifications

• Be able to work in a remote team environment, as well as independently;
• Have experience in direct client service;
• Possess excellent communication and organizational skills;
• Be able to effectively multitask; and
• Have seasoned computer skills, including experience with Zoom and Slack.

Desired Qualifications

• Be located in Illinois (Chicagoland area preferred)
• Have experience in mediation
• Have experience working with court or legal systems
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
