    Description

    Main responsibilities

    • Contract management
      • Drawing up contracts with Solidarity Center project partners, monitoring the signing process and compliance with internal policies;
      • Contacting partners to gather information and negotiate the final draft of contracts;
      • Monitoring the execution of contracts and payments;
    • Organizing events
      • Supervising the staff of the Program Team responsible for event logistics;
      • Preparing events from start to finish, gathering costs, suppliers and service providers;
      • Organizing and maintaining a database of service providers for events;
      • Liaising with travel, interpretation, equipment and other service providers;
      • Monitoring external activities to ensure the smooth running of contracted services and managing contract execution;
    • Fixed cost management
      • Planning accounts payable;
      • Preparing the classification of expenses by grant;
      • Updating the budget report;
    • Relations with stakeholders and internal staff
      • Maintaining contact with project partners in order to prepare draft contracts and receive financial reports from partners, preparing spreadsheets to monitor the financial execution of contracts and providing the program team with information on the financial aspects of program implementation;

    Maintaining contact with Solidarity Center departments in Washington to ensure that contracts signed by headquarters run smoothly and that SC partners receive funds correctly.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Law, International Relations, Event Management, Business Administration, or related fields;
    • Fluent in English and Intermediate proficiency in Spanish;
    • 5 to 7 years' experience in events or projects;
    • Experience in supporting the implementation of cooperation projects in the non-profit sector. Experience with trade union organizations desirable;
    • Experience working with international cooperation funds and dealing with external funders. Experience working with US government funds and/or private funds desirable.
    • Experience in drafting and managing partnership contracts to implement cooperation projects.
