    About Vision West ND, Inc.

Vision West ND, Inc. (VWND) began as a project and has since evolved into a fully functioning nonprofit organization that fosters economic and community development across western North Dakota. With growth comes new challenges, particularly in financial sustainability and operational efficiency. DLN Consulting, Inc. plays an integral role in managing VWND, but as both organizations expand, it is necessary to build VWND’s internal capacity.

We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Strategic Growth Coordinator who will play a key role in supporting VWND’s operations with the potential to evolve into the organization’s Executive Director within five years. This is an opportunity for a dedicated professional to grow alongside the organization, shaping its strategic direction while receiving mentorship and leadership development.

    Position Overview

The Strategic Growth Coordinator will support project management, administrative coordination, and organizational development. Over time, as the individual gains experience and contributes to VWND’s growth, responsibilities and compensation will evolve, aligning with increased leadership expectations. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to long-term impact and sees themselves growing into an executive leadership position.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Assist with project planning by creating timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
    • Monitor progress on key action items to support accountability and alignment with VWND’s strategic goals.
    • Provide administrative and operational support, including file management, budgeting assistance, and reporting.
    • Help coordinate communication efforts, such as newsletters, public relations, and stakeholder outreach.
    • Support board development by assisting with governance best practices and meeting preparation.
    • Engage in fund development activities by researching grants and assisting with fundraising efforts.
    • Assist with event planning and coalition-building initiatives to strengthen regional collaborations.
    • Observe and report on organizational performance, identifying opportunities for efficiency and growth.
    • Participate in leadership development training to prepare for increasing responsibility.

    Required Qualifications

    Education & Experience:

    • A 2-4 year degree in a business-related field is preferred; high school diploma or GED is required.
    • Prior experience in nonprofit work, project management, or administration is highly desirable.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to analyze challenges, recommend solutions, and take initiative.
    • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and digital tools.
    • Ability to work independently with limited supervision while managing multiple priorities.

    Other Requirements:

    • Must have a valid North Dakota driver’s license and be willing to travel.
    • Willingness to commit to a five-year career trajectory, growing into an executive leadership role.

Why This Role? A Career, Not Just a Job

This position is not just an entry-level role, it is a long-term investment in the future leader of VWND. Over the next five years, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to:

    • Learn the full scope of nonprofit operations, from financial sustainability to strategic planning.
    • Receive executive mentorship and leadership training.
    • Lead a growing organization, making a lasting impact on western North Dakota communities.
