    Description

    The Workforce Development Outreach Coordinator will work our New Mexico team to develop and grow workforce programming and outreach in New Mexico, with a focus in Bernalillo County. The Workforce Development Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting participants into pre-apprenticeship, apprenticeships and job training programs. This role will also be responsible for developing curriculum and for the leadership development of participants in workforce programming.

    Reports to: New Mexico Campaign Manager

    Key Relationships: New Mexico Field Organizer

    Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

    Compensation: $75,000

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of workforce programs in coordination with local union and community partners
    • Develop outreach plans to find workforce program participants; plans will include door-to-door outreach, worksite outreach, participation in community outreach events and activities, peer-to-peer texting and other effective methods.
    • Conduct outreach via to recruit participants for workforce program cohorts; recruitment will prioritize women and immigrant participants.
    • Collect data on specific employment, skill-building and personal needs of participants and use the information to identify training and wrap-around service needs.
    • Curriculum development for key components of workforce programming such as Leadership Development modules, in collaboration with workforce program partners.
    • Responsible for tracking the impact of the program and services offered.
    • Maintain employment resources in collaboration with union and community partners.
    • Prepare workforce program reports for internal operations and for partners.
    • Collaborate with the development team and partners to identify and secure funding for workforce development initiatives.

    Required Qualifications and Skills:

    • A minimum of 3 years experience in outreach or community organizing.
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Workforce Development
    • Bilingual, English and Spanish
    • Passion for social justice, building power in multi-racial working-class communities, decolonizing political organizing spaces, empowering grassroots leaders, and enacting impactful socio-economic policies towards long-term systemic changes
    • Proven ability to handle projects set priorities, manage details, and follow through independently
    • Flexibility and a willingness to take on an array of competing tasks.
