    Position Summary:

    Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer/Senior Director, Finance & Administration, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will develop and implement a technology strategy that aligns with the organization’s vision and business objectives. The CTO must be a forward-thinking leader who proactively addresses the company’s technology requirements. This role includes direct supervision of the Senior Infrastructure Engineer and Assistant Director, Information Technology positions.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities:

    Technology Vision & Strategy

    • Define and execute the technological strategies that align with the company’s current and future business objectives
    • Ensure that IT and network infrastructure adequately support the organization’s software, hardware and communication needs
    • Mitigate risk by implementing best practices for data security, privacy and compliance; continuously monitor and evaluate risks and respond appropriately
    • Stay abreast of the latest technology trends and developments. Identify and recommend appropriate tech solutions as required
    • Manage vendor relationships and department budget, ensuring resources are allocated optimally and costs are managed effectively

    Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to translate business needs into tech solutions
    • Communicate project goals and execution timelines to leadership

    Leadership & Team Building

    • Build and lead a high-performing tech team
    • Effectively oversee projects and assignments, ensuring the correct team is in place to execute the development and deployment of tech needs
    • Promote a company culture that encourages top performance and collaboration

    Operational Excellence

    • Manage all IT infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency
    • Monitor Key Performance Indicator’s to assess tech performance and modify accordingly

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, System Engineering, or a related field. Master's or other advanced degree is a plus
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in administration of IT systems and building tech strategies in a leadership role
    • Proven strategic thinker with the ability to conceptualize long-term business goals and develop optimal solutions
    • Extensive knowledge of Customer Relationship Management & database systems, including Tessitura
    • Excellent leadership, team building and management skills
    • Ability to prioritize multiple objectives and manage time efficiently
    • Ability to oversee and manage technology projects from start to implementation
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Previous budget management experience

    Work Environment/Physical Demands:

    • Exposure to office, theater, and studio settings
    • Regularly requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time
    • Occasionally requires lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a full-time, salaried, exempt, senior management position. Work hours require flexibility and may include weekends, holidays, and other scheduled work periods as necessary. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
