This position requires weekly in-office work (3 days) in our Washington D.C. office under a hybrid working model.
Position Summary:
The Senior Director, Cybersecurity and Technology Systems is responsible for the daily operations of the IT team and Technology Services within LeadingAge, including management of our Helpdesk and Managed Services Partner, responding to staff requests and queries, providing project management and support to Technology staff, oversight of our cyber security posture, the retirement and implementation of obsolete and new Technology Systems, and the infrastructure needs of our Association Management System.
- Oversee and manage the Helpdesk/Support Team, providing project management, direction, and assistance to staff and partners. This includes gathering and interpretating non-technical business requirements from internal stakeholders, planning, hands-on implementation, staff training, system maintenance and support, providing specific service outcomes and deliverables in line with the business needs.
- Responsible for the Change Management of Technology Systems in partnership with the VP, IT & Operations Solutions, co-creating LeadingAge’s technological future vision, including setting team goals based on LeadingAge’s Strategic Plan, working with our MSP to implement new technologies, retiring obsolete technology, and suggesting improvements in line with business needs.
- Provides leadership and direction of our technology services contractors, ensuring services are aligned with the organization’s strategic goals, needs, and budget, including actively managing the Helpdesk, working with our MSP to ensure consistent service delivery, prioritizing support effectively in response to emergencies such as phishing or other cyber-attacks, or service downtime.
- Serves as the primary operational liaison between IT, other LeadingAge teams, and technology contractors and partners, responding to staff requests and queries about Technology Systems and processes by providing hands-on solutions, or interpreting and assigning requests and queries to appropriate contractors, partners and staff as needed.
- Manages LeadingAge’s cyber security oversight, including interpreting quarterly security reports and following up with IT staff and contractors/partners to suggest and implement changes, reviewing security practices with LeadingAge’s Managed Services Provider and working with VP, Information & Operations Solutions to suggest and implement any necessary policy, procedure, or technical changes to ensure a continued high standard of system security, and managing an independent security review process.
- Oversee and Manage LeadingAge’s AI Strategy, working with our President and CEO, COO, and VP, IT & Operations Solutions to ensure LeadingAge is using AI to its fullest potential, while maintaining data privacy and security. Responsible for analyzing emerging AI tools, crafting AI policies and sharing best practices with staff.
- Manages a Technology Governance panel within the organization. This includes gathering training requirements for business systems, responding to emerging technologies, regular assessment of the effectiveness of our cyber security training program, and reviewing and suggesting changes to process documentation.
- Works with the Director, AMS Strategy and related vendors, contractors and partners to ensure the infrastructure needs of our AMS are met, including access management and cloud service and cloud backup management.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skill Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in information technology, computer science, or a related field plus a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth technical knowledge of, and interest in, aging services technologies is required.
- In-depth CMS experience Salesforce/Nimble preferred
- Team player with strong technical background and ability to manage and organize multiple projects/tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Excellent and proven oral and written communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills, including ability to maintain cooperative, effective relationships with members, business partners, staff, and other key leaders and stakeholders
- Excellent judgment, integrity and creativity in problem solving
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

- Ability to learn/translate/refer to large amounts of technical material and produce written communications such as, but not limited to, training materials.
- Ability to travel to external meetings both locally and nationally, including periodic overnight travel.
- Normal work requires frequent use telephone and computer (monitor, keyboard, mouse).
- Ability to be move about at Annual Meeting; Leadership Summit Conference; and other meetings and events.
- May be required to move about frequently in the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, attend meetings, etc.
- May require standing/sitting for prolonged periods of time during meetings and conferences.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The salary range for this full-time, (37.5-hour work week), exempt, D.C. based position is ($164,746-173,417). Salary offered may vary depending on relevant factors as determined by LeadingAge, which may include, but are not limited to, background and experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, certifications and licensures, internal equity, geographic location and other organizational needs. Salaries for candidates hired outside of the DMV will have salary adjusted using Economic Research Institute’s, Geographic Tool Assessor.
