    Description

    Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities (ARMHC) is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to drive transformational giving and advance our mission of keeping families close to the medical care they need. Reporting to the Senior Director of Philanthropy, this role will help craft and execute a comprehensive strategy for cultivating high-net-worth donors and securing major gifts. The Major Gifts Officer will manage a personal portfolio of key prospects and collaborate across teams to enhance donor engagement.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Partner with the Senior Director of Philanthropy to establish and execute strategic priorities to increase fundraising performance.
    • Manage a portfolio of 150-180 high-net-worth prospects capable of making transformational gifts.
    • Develop and implement donor cultivation and solicitation strategies aligned with ARMHC’s mission and values.
    • Maintain accurate donor records and track interactions in Raiser’s Edge.
    • Strengthen existing donor relationships while expanding the donor base through targeted outreach.
    • Collaborate with program staff to identify funding needs and create compelling giving opportunities.
    • Plan and implement a moves management framework to advance donor engagement.

    Qualifications:

    • 5-7 years of experience in nonprofit development with a focus on major gifts.
    • Proven ability to cultivate and nurture donor relationships.
    • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency with donor database systems, preferably Raiser’s Edge.
    • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
