    Role Summary

    The Assistant Director of Community Partnerships is a highly visible role responsible for building relationships with diverse entities to execute projects related to behavioral health crisis systems transformation. This position is critical to establishing relationships with local, state and other partners to facilitate and carry out projects designed to advance behavioral health crisis response best practices.

    This position works in partnership with the Director of Strategy and Innovation to help carry out the strategic vision for Prototype Sites Impact Area and ultimately execute the field-based work of Clear Pathways. The Assistant Director of Community Partnerships is accountable to the Director of Strategy and Innovation.

    This position requires an individual who has proven experience navigating the challenges and opportunities that arise when collaborating with communities, such as local mental health/substance use authorities (e.g., ADAMH Boards) or other similar entities. We are seeking an individual who has a passion for collaborating with others, facilitating change and innovation, fostering a safe space for the exchange of ideas and often differing views, and identifying best practices in our work with communities throughout Ohio. This role is pivotal in promoting evidence-based approaches to community-based work; building key partnerships and relationships; demonstrating organizational skills; and fostering a culture of collaboration and a commitment to continuous quality improvement across Clear Pathways’ Prototype Sites and Statewide Field-Building projects.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Prepare for, facilitate and execute Clear Pathways’ Prototype Sites projects
    • Able to work effectively in team environment while balancing the needs and priorities of diverse project collaborators
    • Monitor progress, support data collection, evaluate outcomes, and adapt strategies, as needed
    • Cultivate and maintain working relationships with a diverse group of collaborators, including communities, subject matter experts, providers, and partner organizations
    • Understand behavioral health systems of care to identify challenges, pain points and opportunities when working with communities on projects
    • Prepare for and facilitate virtual and in-person meetings of any size with diverse audiences as part of project delivery
    • Implement data collection and evaluation strategies to measure the impact and effectiveness of Clear Pathways’ Prototype Sites projects
    • Use data to inform decision-making and continuous quality improvement

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • Requires the minimum of a master’s degree in public administration, communications, social work, social sciences, public policy, public health, business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
    • Requires five (5) years of prior experience in community-based work at a nonprofit, foundation, government, or similarly relevant industry position; prior experience working and engaging with public sector clients such as counties, states, etc. is preferable;
    • Strong organizational, project management and execution skills;
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
    • Proven relationship-building abilities;
    • Competency in meeting facilitation skills;
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and virtual communications and collaboration platforms such as Zoom, MS Teams, Zoho Projects);
    • Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative, and ability to work within timelines;
    • Requires experience and knowledge of in behavioral health crisis care, preferably with lived experience.

    Physical / Environmental Requirements

    • Individual must be based in Ohio; however, work is hybrid. A suitable home working environment and computer equipment are required
    • Will require up to 50% travel for in-person convenings and other project-related activities throughout Ohio
    • May require up to 5% travel out-of-state for in-person convenings
    • 1099 independent contractor is preferred at an estimated 24-32 hours per week
