    Position Overview

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Instructor to empower 5th-grade students from minority backgrounds. The Senior Instructor will guide the implementation of engaging programs that focus on personal growth, practical life skills, and leadership development. This role is part-time, with the potential to evolve into a full-time position. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience working with elementary-aged children and a passion for helping students navigate the transition to middle school.

    Key Scheduling Requirement

    • Must be available for 1–2 weekly sessions of approximately one hour each, scheduled at either 8:30 AM – 9:15 AM or 1:40 PM – 2:30 PM.

    Responsibilities

    • Interactive Instruction: Lead dynamic sessions that foster leadership, confidence, and practical skills among 5th-grade students.
    • Mentorship & Support: Create a nurturing environment where students feel safe to share their experiences, build resilience, and gain real-life problem-solving skills.
    • Adaptive Teaching Methods: Employ diverse instructional strategies to engage learners of varying abilities, interests, and backgrounds.
    • Progress Tracking: Monitor student achievements, identify areas for growth, and adjust instructional techniques accordingly.
    • Community Collaboration: Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, and school personnel to establish a cohesive support network.
    • Professional Growth & Innovation: Stay current with educational trends, integrating creative approaches to keep students motivated and excited to learn.
    • Team Engagement: Attend meetings, trainings, and development sessions, contributing actively to program refinement and collaborative improvements.
