Human Rights Watch (“HRW”) is seeking a Grants Officer to provide support to the Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”) team. The Finance Division is led by the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for providing fiscal management, implementing financial strategy, and maintaining the fiscal integrity of HRW. The FP&A Grants Officer reports to the FP&A Director who is based in Denver, Colorado.
The location of this position is flexible, but time zones with shared office hours to Central European Time, Eastern Standard Time, or East Africa Time will be preferred. The successful candidate may have the option to work remotely. This position may be based in the following locations where HRW has an office: New York, Washington, Stockholm, Miami, London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, Nairobi, or Johannesburg. This position will be able to work remotely but will be expected to travel to HRW offices as required.
Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of three years of direct finance experience is required, including prior experience working in grants management and nonprofit/NGO finance.

Salary and Benefits: HRW seeks exceptional applicants and offers competitive compensation and employer-paid benefits. The salary range for this position if based in the US is USD 62,000-68,000 plus benefits. Salary ranges outside of the US vary based on location, and you will receive specific salary ranges based on your location early during the recruitment process.
