    Description

    Position Summary

    The Business Office Coordinator, under the supervision of the Chief of Staff, will provide daily Human Resources, Payroll, and Accounts Payable coordination with an offsite Accounting Firm and Data Entry for Stewardship Activities for the Church. Additional duties include staff onboarding, annual Audit support, and daily bookkeeping duties.

    Responsibilities

    • Receive and coordinate accounts payable and accounts receivable with Accounting Vendor
    • Tracking employee time and attendance, PTO, overtime, personal time & timesheets for payroll
    • Employee payroll and benefits administration, including pension, healthcare, transit, etc
    • Setting up and onboarding new employees
    • Data entry for Stewardship
    • Print checks to vendors and post cash receipts
    • Coordinate delivery and service notes and invoices from external partners (e.g., suppliers, insurance agents, security guards)
    • Record rental income and tenants' receivable
    • Coordinate business and property insurance policies
    • Coordinate contractor/vendor engagement, including W9's and contractor agreements
    • Generate the church's financial reports using income and expenditure data
    • Coordinate the filing and remitting of taxes and other financial obligations
    • Supporting audit preparation and year-end financial and parochial reports

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Friendly and welcoming demeanor
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical, organization, and communication skills are a must
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Church Windows, Stripe
