    Position: Virtual Assistant for Social Media Scheduling

    Type: Contract, Now through December 31, 2024

    Hours: Variable, 1–5 hours per week (as needed)

    Position Summary:

    We’re seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Virtual Assistant to support social media scheduling as part of our communications team. In this role, you’ll assist with scheduling content on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn to help amplify DEC’s mission and vision. This contract position is ideal for someone who is highly organized and values-driven, looking to contribute to a purpose-centered organization on a flexible, part-time basis. Additional project opportunities may become available if the contractor is interested.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Schedule social media content as provided, following a calendar and posting guidelines
    • Monitor scheduled posts to ensure they go live on time across platforms
    • Collaborate with DEC’s Associate Director to ensure consistent messaging
    • Align all content and scheduling practices with DEC’s mission, vision, and Racial Equity Point of View

    Requirements:

    • Strong understanding of social media platforms, scheduling tools, and best practices
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively with minimal supervision
    • Ability to work flexible hours as needed (between 1 and 5 hours weekly)
    • Alignment with DEC’s values, including a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
