    Position Description:

    GLMA is seeking a passionate and organized Program Manager to lead the launch and implementation of the new LGBTQ+ Health Equity Leadership Program. The Program Manager will oversee all aspects of the program, ensuring its success in building a sustainable pipeline of leaders equipped to drive change in healthcare.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Program Operations & Management

    • Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of the two-year leadership development program.
    • Oversee the annual cohort selection process, including outreach, application review, and participant onboarding for a diverse group of 20 participants.
    • Coordinate logistics for in-person retreats, including the orientation retreat and graduation retreat, ensuring a seamless and impactful experience for participants.
    • Manage the monthly virtual workshops and webinars, including scheduling, coordinating speakers, and ensuring interactive and engaging content delivery.
    • Collaborate with GLMA staff and board to cultivate and maintain inter-organizational partnerships for leadership placements and mentorship opportunities.

    Program Design & Engagement

    • Collaborate with GLMA staff and board, as well as a team of consultants, to develop training curriculum for the program focused on leadership, advocacy, and other essential skills.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for program participants, providing guidance and support throughout the program.
    • Facilitate participant engagement during the program's two-year timeline, ensuring participants feel empowered and connected.
    • Monitor participant progress, including tracking leadership role placements, mentorship engagements, and capstone project development.

    Partnership Development & Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Build and sustain relationships with healthcare organizations, professional associations, and societies to secure leadership placement opportunities for participants.
    • Coordinate with experienced LGBTQ+ and BIPOC health leaders to serve as mentors and partners.
    • Work closely with GLMA’s leadership team to identify and expand strategic partnerships.

    Evaluation & Reporting

    • Establish metrics for program success and collect qualitative and quantitative feedback from participants, mentors, and partners.
    • Conduct program evaluations to assess impact and identify areas for improvement.
    • Prepare reports for funders, stakeholders, and the GLMA team to demonstrate program outcomes and progress.
    • Track and report spending in alignment with grant budget.

    Qualifications:

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in public health, public policy, political science, psychology, healthcare management, or a related field.
    • At least 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in leadership development, nonprofit, or healthcare fields.
    • Strong commitment to LGBTQ+ and BIPOC health equity and advocacy.
    • Familiarity with health advocacy, leadership development, or intersectionality in healthcare systems.
    • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-faceted programs with competing deadlines.
    • Experience coordinating virtual and in-person events, including retreats, webinars, and workshops.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, including participants, mentors, and healthcare organizations.
    • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience mentoring or working directly with underrepresented communities in professional settings.
    • Knowledge of program evaluation methods and reporting to funders.

    Travel Requirements:

    • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for in-person retreats, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.

    Compensation:

    • Salary: $70,000 annually.
