    Description

    The Database Associate is a hands-on, proactive professional working to increase the fundraising effectiveness of the organization. They are committed to the vision and mission of the organization to build a shared society in Israel through the growth of Hand in Hand’s network of integrated Jewish-Arab schools and communities.

    They will have prior experience working in databases/CRM’s and be highly skilled in creating and managing spreadsheets and using Office and Google Suite. EXPERIENCE WITH AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE SALESFORCE CRM REQUIRED. The Database Associate will be able to work in a highly collaborative environment in which not all tasks are defined at the outset. The database associate works in close coordination with the Database Manager. This position works remotely with occasional travel for staff retreats. Flexible scheduling available, with hourly pay ranging from $22-26 per hour depending on experience.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Manages Salesforce CRM data for the US office, with close collaboration with database staff in Israel. This includes data entry, record creation and updates, and making recommendations on database system changes
    • Manages regular mass communications with smaller donors
    • Manages solicitation mailing process and timeline, and list preparation
    • Supports American Friends’ relationship managers with donor list segmentation and reporting needs, trip follow-up, etc.
    • Manages Foundation Search database and provides annual foundation list and segmentation support to relationship managers
    • Provides Salesforce and Donor Research support to relationship managers.
    • Works closely with staff in Israel as needed
    • Conducts monthly reconciliation between Finance and Salesforce
    • Conducts prospect research using DonorSearch and publicly available information
    • Provides administrative support for payment processors and website as needed.

    Qualifications

    • 2-3 years minimum experience in non-profit development work in administrative and database capacities
    • BA degree or higher
    • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, Salesforce, CRMs and more, with graphic design skills a plus
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
    • Ability to work remotely and collaboratively with a large team in different cities in the U.S. and Israel
