    This role focuses primarily on executing core HR processes, including payroll, benefits administration, and hiring logistics, while also supporting strategic initiatives and compliance requirements. The HR Administrator ensures smooth day-to-day HR operations, maintains employee data integrity, and provides essential HR support to BOP’s leadership and staff.

    What you’ll do:

    The top five HR functions of this role include managing core HR operations and projects, employee relations and talent management, overseeing compensation and benefits, managing recruitment and staffing, and ensuring safety and compliance. To that end, this position includes the following tasks and oversight:

    • Managing core HR operations, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and leave management
    • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR information systems
    • Coordinating recruitment and hiring processes
    • Supporting compliance requirements and managing strategic HR initiatives
    • Providing HR guidance, support, and direction to staff members and BOP leaders

    Proficiency in all forms of communication, along with the ability to collaborate with all Billion Oyster Project leaders and their teams, is paramount.     You Must Have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field and 3-5 years of HR administrative experience OR At least 2+ years of HR administrative experience in HR. Billion Oyster Project, Inc will consider other non-traditional HR candidates with alternate educational or related workplace experience on a case-by-case basis.
    • Experience with using and managing a human resource management system (HRMS) and human resource information system (HRIS). If no existing HRIS system experience, candidate must display that they are power users of other platforms, including project management and administrative programs (like smartsheets, other IT tools).
    • Certification with an HR certifying body (SHRM-CP or SCP, PHR or SPHR certification) or evidence of enrollment in an HR certification program that is in process and will be completed within the next 12 months.
    • Solid understanding of, and experience with, NY employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices. Our ideal candidate displays a growth mindset and a strong desire to continue learning, growing and adapting to new realities and laws within the ever-changing HR field.
    • Able to exercise a high level of confidentiality.
    • Proficiency in HRIS software and Google/Microsoft Office Suite
