    PURPOSE STATEMENT:

    Ayuda is seeking an experienced Corporate and Foundation Relations Manager to lead efforts in cultivating and managing corporate, law firm, and foundation relationships. This role is crucial for securing sponsorships, grants, and donations to support Ayuda's mission of providing culturally specific legal, social, and language services to immigrants. In addition, the Manager will work closely with the Volunteer Manager and Pro Bono Team to strategically integrate volunteer engagement into long-term donor pipelines, fostering deeper connections and enhancing sustainable fundraising strategies. This is a hybrid role, based in Washington, D.C.

    Ayuda is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing direct legal, social and language access services, education, and outreach to low-income immigrants in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Since 1973, Ayuda has provided critical services on a wide range of issues, in the process acquiring nationally recognized expertise in several fields including immigration law, language access, domestic violence and human trafficking. Ayuda has office locations in Washington, DC, Silver Spring, MD and Fairfax, VA.

    WHAT WILL THIS JOB ENTAIL?

    Corporate Relations, Volunteer Engagement & Event Sponsorships

    • Develop and execute strategies to engage and steward corporate partners through sponsorships, workplace giving, and matching gifts.
    • Lead sponsorship efforts with corporations and law firms for Ayuda’s annual event.
    • Build tailored engagement plans for corporate partners and volunteers to secure sustained financial support and deepen their involvement with Ayuda’s mission.
    • Lead presentations and engagement sessions with corporate volunteer groups to strengthen partnerships and inspire deeper connections to Ayuda’s mission.
    • Collaborate across teams to align corporate volunteer programs and pro bono efforts with fundraising objectives.
    • Promote Ayuda’s interpretation and translation services to corporate clients in partnership with the Language Access program.
    • Work with the Communications Manager to craft impactful stories that showcase the value of corporate support and volunteer engagement.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Foundation Relations

    • Conduct prospect research to identify foundation donors aligned with Ayuda’s goals.
    • Cultivate, manage, and steward foundation relationships, ensuring consistent engagement and long-term support.
    • Partner with program staff to align foundation partnerships with organizational priorities and communicate the impact of funding.
    • Collaborate with the grants team to coordinate grant submissions, excluding grant writing and management.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Volunteer-to-Donor Pipeline Development

    • Collaborate with the Volunteer Manager to create strategies for converting volunteers into donors.
    • Develop communications that inspire financial contributions from volunteers.
    • Monitor and report on volunteer-to-donor conversions, using data to refine approaches and inform stakeholders.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU CAN DO THIS JOB?

    Eligibility Requirements: Must be legally able to work in the United States and maintain proper work authorization throughout employment. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position presented in a general office environment. Satisfactory results from a background check to include criminal history and a search of the employee’s name against a national registry of sex offenders.

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a demonstrated focus on corporate and/or foundation relations.
    • Proven track record of securing five- to six-figure corporate sponsorships and foundation grants.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, including certifications in fundraising, nonprofit management, or a related field (preferred).
    • Extensive experience cultivating, managing, and maintaining relationships with a diverse portfolio of corporate, foundation, and donor partners.
    • Demonstrated ability to integrate volunteer engagement into donor pipelines and lead strategic fundraising initiatives.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and departments.
    • Effective presentation and leadership skills, especially when engaging with corporate volunteer groups and other stakeholders.
    • Data-driven approach with the ability to track, analyze, and leverage donor engagement data to inform strategies and improve outcomes.
    • Awareness of current trends in corporate and foundation philanthropy and volunteer engagement.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft compelling proposals and reports.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with donor management systems (Salesforce experience is a plus); Canva experience is a plus.
    • Commitment to Ayuda’s mission, with a strong dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and an understanding of immigration issues.
